I don't know if you guys know about Radiolab, but it's beautiful. Listen to "Words" and "Time" and any of the episodes really. Each takes an hour, which seems like a big investment of time, I know. But it's very very worth it.
We're studying Radiolab podcast/radio show episodes in my essay class, because these radio shows are actually a lot like spoken creative nonfiction, classical essays. And all of it is thrilling to me because I love these podcasts. I could listen to them over and over. My eyes glazed over this morning listening to "Words," and it wasn't out of boredom. It was tears. I could listen to essays all day. Which is good, because I might just be going to graduate school to study essays.
I was accepted into the BYU MFA in Creative Writing with a nonfiction emphasis, which means I will be studying and writing essays, and all of it begins next Fall.

Good for you! That sounds exciting.
So, I was at work the other day and I decided to take you up on your suggestion to listen to Radiolab. And I loved it! I listened to "Words" and I'm so excited to listen to more. Really awesome. Thanks for filling me in on the awesomeness.
And then, this morning, I saw this YouTube video and felt that I just had to share it with you. It goes along with "Words" - well, kinda. I guess I just think you would like it. Enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7E-aoXLZGY&feature=player_embedded
Also, I'm glad you decided on the MFA. I'm getting my MA, so maybe I'll see you around :)
